Network Client v4.2

This release of Network Client adds several new features.

New Features in this Release:

  • Streaming Playback from Intellex
  • Incident Clip Builder
  • Windows Vista Compatibility
  • Faster Discovery of Intellex units in Network Client Instrument List
  • Persistent Alarm Storage on Extended Storage Solution

The Persistent Storage feature is an optional feature which stores events that occur in the Event Handler into a permanent database rather than having the events stored in volatile memory of the Network Client computer. This feature uses Microsoft's SQL database to store the events. Users who wish to utilize this feature must install the database after installing Network Client v4.2. NOTE: Network Client v4.2 requires a prior installation of Network Client v4.10 thru v4.17.

Intellex Network Client v4.2 Software Patch - A software patch has been developed for Intellex Network Client v4.2 to correct some known issues associated with Intellex and Network Client. Some of the known issues are:

  • Backward compatibility issues with Network Client v4.2 and earlier versions of Intellex DVR's
  • A number of VMK issues associated with Network Client
  • Date format issue on Network Client and Incident Clip Builder

General System Requirements:

  • 1 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or Celeron processor or equivalent processor that supports streaming SIMD extensions (SSE)
  • 120 MB hard drive space for installing the software, 10 GB hard drive (local or network) space for video storage.
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Ethernet 10/100 NIC
  • AGP or PCI Express X8 graphics card with 64MB memory and DirectX 8.0 support
  • 800 x 600 or higher resolution monitor with 16 bit color
  • CD-ROM drive for software installation or CD-RW if export to CD is required.
  • Windows Vista (Business, Ultimate, Enterprise), Windows® XP Home, Windows XP Professional , Windows 2000 Professional, Windows NT® 4.0 Server or Workstation (Service Pack 6a)

Requirements for multi-pane layouts:

  • 3.2 GHz Dual Core Intel Pentium 4 processor
  • 120 MB hard drive space for installing the software, 10 GB hard drive (local or network) space for video storage.
  • 1 GB DDR2 533 MHz Memory
  • Gigabit Ethernet NIC
  • High performance PCI Express x16 graphics card supporting DirectX 9.0 and dual independent monitors. At least 512 MB of high speed graphics memory. Four live windows requires two graphics cards and two PCI Express X16 slots.
  • 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor with 32 bit color
  • CD-ROM drive for software installation or CD-RW if export to CD is required.
  • Windows Vista (Business, Ultimate, Enterprise), Windows® XP Home, Windows XP Pro, or Windows 2000 Professional
