Intellex IP v4.12 VideoEdge IP Encoder Upgrade

This software update for Intellex IP provides compatibility with the 4 channel VideoEdge IP Encoder. This new product from American Dynamics encodes composite video from up to four cameras with 4CIF resolution into an IP stream using American Dynamics Active Content Compression (ACC) compression standard. This software also includes 4CIF resolution on Sony IP cameras already supported by Intellex IP. Refer to the Intellex IP Release Notes and VideoEdge IP Encoder Release Notes for a further description of the features in this release and instructions on how to use these features. The Intellex Installation and Configuration Guide and User's Guide provide more detail on the use of these new features and all other features associated with the Intellex product family.

Upgrade Network Client to version 4.12 in order to remotely access the VideoEdge IP Encoder setup functions or to view the 4CIF resolution from Sony IP cameras. However, upgrade to Network Client v4.12 only if you need it to support Intellex IP software version 4.12 in order to prevent potential compatibility issues with 3rd party applications using the Intellex API

NOTE: This update must be installed only on Intellex IP units running software version 4.10.

Download and Installation Instructions - Use these instructions to download and install the updates on to your Intellex unit.

Download Instructions:

  1. On a PC equipped with a removable media, download and save the software below to your local hard drive.
  2. Copy the file to a CD or USB flash drive for installation onto the Intellex.

Intellex IP Installation Instructions:

  1. Exit Intellex by clicking on Utility, Exit. Enter the exit PIN code.
  2. Insert the media with the software update into the Intellex unit.
  3. Double click on the My Computer icon.
  4. Double click on the media device with the Intellex software update.
  5. Double click on the .msi update file.
  6. Follow the instructions as the installation program installs the update.
  7. When the installation is complete, the installation program will automatically shut down or reboot the Intellex.
  8. Restart the Intellex.

Network Client Installation Instructions:

NOTE: - This update must be installed only on computers with Network Client software version 4.10 already installed. Do not install this update unless needed for compatibility with Intellex IP software version 4.12.

  1. Insert the media with the software update into the Intellex unit.
  2. Double click on the My Computer icon.
  3. Double click on the media device with the Network Client software update.
  4. Double click on the .exe update file.
  5. Follow the instructions as the installation program installs the update.
