Intellex DVMS, LT, IP v4.1 Upgrade
This software is used to upgrade an Intellex DVMS, LT, IP running v4.0 to software v4.1 Please carefully read the following important information before attempting to upgrade your Intellex DVMS, LT, or IP system. For detailed description of the new features in this upgrade, refer to the Release Notes. For those users who have versions prior to v4.0 who wish to upgrade to v4.1 you must upgrade to v4.0 first. Please contact your American Dynamics Sales representative regarding upgrade instructions to v4.0.
Upgrading from Intellex DVMS, LT, IP v4.0
This upgrade applies only to Intellex DVMS, LT, or IP units running version 4.0 software. Do not attempt to install this upgrade on any other version of Intellex or damage to your system may result. If you wish to upgrade an Intellex Ultra, click here.
To determine the current version of your software, click Utility, then click About Intellex. If the version of your software is 4.0x.xx, then you can install this upgrade.
Daylight Savings Time Update - North America
Users who have previously updated their Intellex systems to be Daylight Savings Time compliant per the Energy Policy Act of 2005 do not have to update their systems when upgrading to v4.1. If you have not yet updated your v4.0 system to be DST-compliant, you must first upgrade the Microsoft Operating System prior to downloading v4.1. Compatibility
Intellex v4.1 uses a higher display screen resolution when installed onto the Intellex IP product. Because of this increase in picture resolution, Intellex IP systems being upgraded to v4.1 must support a desktop monitor resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. If your desktop monitor does not support this resolution then do not install this upgrade. It will not function properly. Please upgrade or replace your monitor to support a resolution of a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels. Intellex DVMS and LT platforms with v4.1 software will still support a monitor resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
Licensing
This software is protected with a license key. The license key that enabled your current installation of Intellex DVMS, LT, or IP software v4.0 will also enable this update. Do not uninstall the previous version of software or delete any files before performing this installation.
This release also introduces the following new features:
Increased picture resolution, speed control for Sony IP cameras, Momentary alarm durations, Intellex Web server, playback from export media, RAID Storage system compatibility. Actual features available may depend on the Intellex model and feature level.
CAUTION: Do not install this update on Intellex Ultra systems.
Download and Installation Instructions - Use these instructions to download and install the updates on to your Intellex unit.
Download Instructions:
- On a PC equipped with a removable media, download and save the software below to your local hard drive.
- Copy the file to a CD or USB flash drive for installation onto the Intellex.
Installation Instructions:
- Exit the Intellex application by clicking on Utility, Exit. Then type in the Exit PIN code.
- Insert the media with the software update into the Intellex unit.
- Double click on the My Computer icon.
- Double click on the media device with the Intellex software update.
- Double click on the update file.
- Follow the instructions as the installation program installs the update.
- When the installation is complete, the installation program will automatically shut down or reboot the Intellex.
- Restart the Intellex.
