This download will install Windows® Service Pack 4 on your Intellex running on the Windows 2000 Operating System.

Determine if you need to install Service Pack 4:

  1. Exit Intellex by clicking on Utility, Exit. Enter the exit PIN code.
  2. Right-click on My Computer.
  3. Select Properties
  4. The current version of your Operating System including Service Pack will be displayed. If your system does not indicate "Service Pack 4" you may install this update.

Download & Installation Instructions:

  1. On a PC equipped with a CD writer, download and save the software below to your local hard drive.
  2. Copy the file to removable media. Burn to a CD-ROM or copy to a thumb drive.
  3. Exit Intellex by clicking on Utility, Exit. Enter the exit PIN code.
  4. Insert the media with the Intellex_win2ksp4.exe in the unit. If you are using a USB thumb drive, copy the file on to the desktop and run it from there. (Remove the thumb drive after transferring the file from the thumb drive; some systems may try to boot from the thumb drive, which could interfere with the update since the system reboots at least twice during the update.)
  5. From the desktop, explore to the file Intellex_win2ksp4.exe and double click it.
  6. At the prompt asking whether you are sure you wish to install the Windows SP4, click Yes. A message appears that the system will reboot several times.
  7. Click OK. The installation takes approximately 8 minutes. The system reboots for the last time and returns to its normal operating condition. (If the system hangs up and displays a boot error when you use a USB thumb drive to get the update on to the system, you need to remove the USB thumb drive from the system and reboot manually.)
  8. Following the update, remove the media with the update on it from the CD-ROM or USB port.
